Polished In Perspex

Picture this, you’ve bought an amazing new outfit which you’re dying to wear but have no shoes to match. We’ve all been there. This is why one of my favourite trends at the moment is perspex shoes, as their clear straps make them easy to style and work with pretty much any outfit. They’re great for people who want to look put together with minimal effort due to their barely there yet polished look; and let’s not forget how long they make your legs appear!

I recently purchased two pairs of perspex shoes which have been awesome additions to my wardrobe this summer. Perspex heels seem to be the most popular choice and are sold by pretty much any well-known fashion retailer at the moment. Mine are the ‘Nude Square Toe Clear Heels’ from Missguided (£35). They’ve proven perfect for nights out when I’ve wanted the extra height but didn’t want to look too overdressed.

If you love the perspex trend but don’t fancy a pair of heels, you can could opt for some perspex sliders or flatforms instead, as they give you the same polished look but with a little more comfort. These ones are the ‘Rossi Espadrille Sandal in Clear Perspex’ by EGO Shoes (£29.99). They have been a solid staple in my wardrobe this summer and are perfect for occasions, such as girly drinks or fun shopping days, as they are comfortable, easy to walk in and provide an effortless finish to any outfit.

When scrolling through Instagram, I can’t help but notice that every girl is wearing the same thing – trainers. These days, trainers aren’t just for the gym and can be worn for pretty much any occasion, whether that’s a causal shopping trip, going for lunch or even a slightly fancier occasion.  Up until recently, these were a few myths I believed about trainers...
